The NEC establishes Provincial Executive Committees to coordinate federation activity in each province. Every PEC elects a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, Training Coordinator and Gender and HIV/AIDS Coordinator for a three-year term.
Role of the PECs
- Empower members and grassroots structures to contribute to change.
- Use worker education to mobilise, organise and uplift members.
- Introduce shop stewards to federation policy and labour legislation.
- Build the practical skills members need to serve unions and the federation.
